About Rachel
My name is Rachel Starr Thomson. I am a writer. I write novels, books and articles about walking with God, and occasional short stories and poetry. My independently published books can be found here, or you can read a lot of my articles here.
I write monthly or more for Boundless.org. I also write two columns for Homeschooling Today Magazine, one on writing and one on nature. I blog at Inklings — thoughts on faith, fiction, imagination, inspiration, and the intersections of all these things. I also blog reviews and writing types and things like that.
I am an editor and writing coach. I wield a mad red pen, but mostly I’m very nice about it. I’m an editor for Home School Enrichment Magazine, VMI Publishers, and various independent clients. I also coach high schoolers independently and through Write At Home, a combination writing course/private tutoring service. Check out the Editing Services page for more information.
When I’m not writing, I’m often conceptualizing productions, singing, or performing narrations with Soli Deo Gloria Ballet, a dance ministry which I co-direct.
I am a Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the hope of the world. He is my Savior, my joy, and my reason for living.
I am the oldest of twelve children, a homeschool graduate, a wannabe herbalist, a lover of long walks, good books, and the fellowship of God’s people, an incurable tea drinker, and a counter-culture revolutionary who thinks life would be far, far better if we all chucked our television sets out the window.
I love what I do. Blessings to you as you explore my online home! Stay in touch! You can find me on Facebook or on Twitter @writerstarr.
